This year we were delighted to be able to run a summer programme: nine days at the start of July followed by some weekend outings.
In November we re-opened our service, with a change of venue to Beatroute Arts Centre, in Balornock. It's a great space, and we have full use of the whole building and the garden. We are implementing new COVID-19 policies and procedures to minimise risk for both staff and young people.
In March we took the decision to suspend our service due to the coronovirus crisis. We hope to reopen in October, but this is dependent on Scottish Government and sector advice/guidelines.
This summer we're planning to run a weekend walking programme, taking our more ambulant young people into the countryside. We're hoping that the whole family will join us on some of the walks.
This year our summer programme will run from the 4th July to the 13th July. Activities will include: games, dancing, aromatherapy, and trips out for leisure and culture. We're going to try out a new venue: The Yard in Edinburgh - it'll mean a longer day than usual but we think it'll be worth it!
