volunteers-needed

We are looking for people to be part of our new volunteering programme.

We are looking for dedicated volunteers who are passionate about experiences of secondary aged young people with special needs. Volunteers  can either be part of a fundraising team or help assist the Support Workers in running activities and looking after young people with special needs. Volunteers will have the opportunity to develop skills based around teamwork, care, leadership, finance, communication and interpersonal skills. Successful appointments will be based on the volunteer’s desire to enhance their skills and their dedication to improving the experiences of young disabled people. Successful applicants will be required to go through PVG checks.

Volunteers are also recognised for their work through a Community Achievement award. This allows people from the Dash Club an opportunity to record and even gain further qualifications by volunteering with us. In this programme volunteers can recieve anywhere from a level 4/intermediate 1 to level 6/higher qualification. For more information on the volunteering recognition programme please click here.

We are interested in applications from people from various and diverse backgrounds of the following groups: Long term unemployed, single parents, young and mature people, women, disabled, black or ethnic minority and/or LGBT+ people.

If you wish to be part of the programme please email office@dashclubglasgow.org.uk with a short statement about why you are interested in the role.
